Every two years, the ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK is held in Leipzig as a globally leading event in the trade. The members of the exhibitors advisory board of ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK have decided upon a new duration for the Trade Show and the Congress. The International Trade Show in 2012 will take three days from 16 to 18 May (Wednesday to Friday). The four-day World Congress (Tuesday to Friday) now starts one day before the International Trade Show, on Tuesday, 15 May 2012.
“Time is money – according to this slogan, we will optimise costs and expenditure for exhibitors and visitors of ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK,” Frank Jüttner, President of the Bundesinnungsverband für Orthopädie-Technik (German Association of Orthopaedic Technology), says. The association is the conceptual sponsor of the event. “We will present the new concept for the Audience Day and Paralympic Day in spring 2011,” Jüttner says.
Since the year 2000, Leipzig Trade Fair has been the host of the global trade show ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK, which focuses on orthopaedics technology, orthopaedic footwear, rehabilitation technology, medical and healthcare supplies shops and workshops and stores equipment. Jüttner explains: “In the last ten years, the event has displayed a very positive development. The number of visitors has doubled and the number of exhibitors has increased by 60 percent.” ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK 2010 was the most successful one in the history of the 37-year-long history of the event. In May 2010, 21,200 visitors from 108 countries and 554 exhibitors from 45 countries met in Leipzig. As a comparison: In the year 2000, about 10,000 visitors from 30 countries and 318 exhibitors from 24 countries visited the Trade Show.
Leipzig Trade Fair is the organisation responsible for legal and economic matters concerning the Trade Show ORTHOPÄDIE + REHA-TECHNIK. The conceptual organiser of the event is the Bundesinnungsverband für Orthopädie-Technik (German Association of Orthopaedic Technology). confairmed GmbH is responsible for the economic organisation of the Congress. One partner is the Zentralverband Orthopädieschuhtechnik (Central Association for Orthopaedic Footwear Technology).
